Measured results in Europe
Emergency department, Braine-l’Alleud hospital (CHIREC group)
Until late 2024, the emergency department built its schedule by hand, on paper and in Excel: four days of work for each monthly schedule, a constant stream of emails about changes, and requests and time off that were hard to fit in, sometimes leading to overstaffing.
Momentum was already scheduling the CHIREC group’s radiology department and was rolled out for the emergency physicians at the end of 2024. Three things decided it: handling medical complexity (several contract types, rotations, call and requests), automatic hour counts exported to HR, and an online schedule updated in real time for the whole team.
The May 2025 case study documents the result: building the monthly schedule went from 4 days to 4 to 5 hours, schedule administration takes up to 90% less time, and the distribution of hours is seen as fairer.
I didn’t expect Momentum to have such an impact. It’s clear, smooth and automated. I’m impressed by the tool’s ability to generate such optimized schedules while respecting almost every request.
Emergency department and SAMU, CHU d’Angers
The schedule of 52 physicians shared between the emergency department and the SAMU, the French emergency medical service, is automated, with centralized hour accounts and requests entered on mobile (case study, 2023).
